    One thing we're especially passionate about: getting ahead of decay on those brand-new, permanent 6-year and 12-year molars. As soon as they erupt, we recommend protecting them with a gentle, no-drill, no-shot technique called air abrasion — think of it like a tiny, precise polish that preps the tooth for a preventative coating without ever touching a drill. It's quick, painless, and one of the best things we can do to protect those teeth for the long haul.

  • Dental emergencies happen — and we’re here to help with same-day care and expert guidance when your child needs us most. We pride ourselves on always having a dentist on call and always accommodating dental emergencies in our schedule.

  • Some appointments call for a little extra support — whether it's a routine procedure or a child who needs help feeling calm and comfortable. For most operative appointments, we offer nitrous oxide (N2O), a safe, gentle option that helps kids relax while staying fully awake and responsive throughout.

    For more involved treatment, or when a child needs a deeper level of comfort, we offer IV sedation and general anesthesia — right here in our office. We know this can feel like a big decision as a parent, so it matters to us that your child is in the right hands: our anesthesiologist is board-certified and works exclusively in dentistry, treating only children. This isn't someone stepping outside their specialty to help us out — it's what they do, every day, for kids just like yours. We'll walk you through every step of the process so you feel informed and at ease.

  • Every child deserves dental care that meets them where they are. We proudly welcome children with special health care needs — including developmental, physical, sensory, and medical conditions — and we take the time to understand what makes each child comfortable, whether that means adjusting our pace, our environment, or our approach to a procedure. Some children do best with extra visits to build familiarity before treatment even begins; others need accommodations during the appointment itself.   • Traditional treatment is almost always our first recommendation — it's proven, durable, and technically the best long-term option for your child's tooth. But in select cases — very young children, anxious patients, or kids with certain medical or behavioral needs — a more traditional approach isn't always realistic or appropriate. In those situations, we offer minimally invasive techniques that manage decay without a drill or a needle. These treatments are quick, gentle, and can stop or slow a cavity in its tracks, buy time until a child is ready for more traditional care, or in some cases, treat the tooth right then and there. We'll always be upfront with you about which approach fits your child best, and why.

  • How a child breathes, sleeps, and moves their tongue can affect a lot more than most parents realize — from feeding and speech to jaw growth and airway development. Tethered oral tissues (TOTs), like tongue-tie or lip-tie, happen when the tissue connecting the tongue or lip is tighter than it should be, sometimes limiting movement in ways that affect these everyday functions. Not every case needs treatment, but when it does, a simple release procedure — called a frenectomy — can make a meaningful difference. We evaluate each child individually, and when needed, work alongside other specialists like ENTs, lactation consultants, orthodontists and myofunctional therapists to support your child's full picture of care.
